YES YES YES
A theatre show for 16 - 18 year olds about the stuff that matters - consent, sex, identifying unhealthy behaviours in our relationships, and fostering healthy ones.
Powerful theatre navigating the essential conversation around consent.
Jamie and Ari like each other.
Karin and Tom do too ;)
They might be at two separate parties, but their stories are identical.
Until they really aren’t.
Part confession, part documentary, part open conversation, YES YES YES is a theatre show that explores the knotty and necessary topics of healthy relationships, desire and consent.
This latest work from award-winning duo Karin McCracken and Eleanor Bishop blends audience interaction with a captivating solo performance, and features in-depth interviews with teenagers from around Aotearoa.
Crafted by Eleanor Bishop (Boys, Mrs. Warren’s Profession) and Karin McCracken (Jane Doe, Body Double) in cahoots with students from Epsom Girls Grammar School, Papakura High School and Rape Prevention Education, Yes Yes Yes is a theatre show for 16 - 18 year olds about the stuff that matters - consent, sex, identifying unhealthy behaviours in our relationships, and fostering healthy ones.
Based on Eleanor and Karin’s production Jane Doe, which examined rape culture and consent, Yes Yes Yes has been created specifically with, and for, Year 12 and 13 students, in response to overwhelming feedback to Jane Doe in Auckland and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival last year.
Shows are often followed by a 30-minute post show forum with the co-creators and a recommended sexual violence educator.
